The company's operations are carried out at the Satellite Control Ground Station in Benavidez, Buenos Aires Province, where our NOC (Network Operation Center) and customer service center are located, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The company has the latest technology, including SkyEdge II® VSAT platforms from Gilat Satellite Networks and iDirect Evolution®, both worldwide leaders in the provision of satellite equipment. The satellite capacity is located on the ARSAT-1 satellite, ensuring the best footprint over the entire territory of Argentina, not only in terms of power but also due to the elevation at which it is located. Servicio Satelital S.A. offers Value Added Licenses, Data Transport, Broadcasting Signal Transport, Satellite Radio, and Local, Public, Long Distance National and International Telephony.
Servicio Satelital S.A. has an exclusive 500-square-meter building in the ARSAT Teleport, built in 2013, with all the latest world-class facilities and services.
The NOC has a group of trained, specialized Operators who provide on-going support to the technicians performing installation, maintenance, and movement tasks in the field for remote sites in the satellite network.
We have a rack room where all the technology provided by the company is located. Ground link connections and networking components are also to be found here. This room has controlled temperature and humidity, fire detection and extinguishing systems, and biometric access control.
Servicio Satelital S.A. links its baseband room with the RF Shelter via two redundant optical fibers, thereby connecting all the satellite platforms and hubs to the down/up converters, HPAs, and master antenna. Should an issue arise both in the antenna and the RF band, the Satellite Service has the possibility of raising and lowering carriers from a Vertex antenna similar to its own; in the case of extreme urgency, there is an Andrew monitoring and telemetry antenna, both owned by Arsat.
The ARSAT-1 satellite, as mentioned in the introduction, offers a wide range of services in the field of telecommunications, such as data transmission, Internet access and IP telephony, among others. Its coverage mainly encompasses Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, and part of Bolivia. Its coverage also reaches the Falkland Islands and the northern sector of Argentine Antarctica.
