The company’s vision regarding its philosophy, goals, and policies within the framework of society has been changing over the last decade. In this new era, products and their managers are subject to continuous comprehensive control based on values that go beyond quality and efficiency. Servicio Satelital defines itself as a socially responsible company, and as such it promotes a specific policy with its members, suppliers, customers, and society.
Within the framework of accessibility of information, our product offer provides unique opportunities to reduce inequities and strengthen equal opportunities both for ourselves and for those companies that seek to fulfill a social function.
From this perspective, we have promoted, among others, Humahuaca Escuelas en Red together with Banco Macro and Servicio Satelital S.A. Since 2008, we have accompanied the Humahuaca Escuelas en Red program created by the Fundación Aprendiendo Baja La Cruz del Sur, chaired by Ms. Claudia Gómez Costa. This program is endorsed by the Ministry of Education of the Province of Jujuy. It aims to provide Internet service for teacher training in more than fifty primary schools in La Quebrada, directly benefiting more than 2,200 students. This year the organization made an investment of more than $1,200,000 to continue to expand the program.
Through the investment, the installation of Wi-fi connection routers and expansion of the bandwidth of the entire network could be added to the general objectives of the program, which benefits not only the schools connected to the program but also nearby communities, with the aim of providing inhabitants with connectivity.
Banco Macro carries out this initiative with the understanding that technological development serves to bridge the digital gap, turn inequality into opportunities, and create efficient spaces for communication wherever this exists.
The organization works on a daily basis to achieve development for present and future generations in every corner of Argentina, reaching places others do not.
